Barbo Posted December 5, 2008 Posted December 5, 2008 (edited) Hi...I havn't built a new Diorama for more than 9 months , because of my new job and new airlines regulations for traveling. So I decided to modify my hobby to small models (1/48, 1/144, 1/400) and small Dioramas . These are a few of them........Above and Beyond.....Barbo Edited December 5, 2008 by Barbo
torinobradley Posted December 5, 2008 Posted December 5, 2008 Is that the Heller 1/43rd BMW? If so, where did the wheels come from? I have some 43rd that I like because of the small size. The last time the 1/43rd american stuff was produced (I don't remember who made them, AMT or Revell) I picked up all they had (Corvette, Torino, Mustang, Camaro and Javelin). I also have a couple of Monogram Cobras and a Vette (the ones with the PE parts) and the old 56 Ford F100 and motorcycle (1/48th, I think). Along with some of the Heller kits (BMW, Mini Cooper, Lancia, etc...) One tip of warning. I used to use a lightbulb to bake the paint sometimes. Until I did it to a Heller kit. Now it looks as if it was t-boned. The side caved in and shrank due to the heat.
MrObsessive Posted December 5, 2008 Posted December 5, 2008 And they say I'm Obsessive! Miguel, those look great! Don't sneeze though, because you'll lose those little beauties for good!
BigGary Posted December 5, 2008 Posted December 5, 2008 What scale are the fighters and the airliner? You must have good eyes to build in that scale. 1/72 scale is quickly getting too small for me. I guess that's why I went back to building cars. Gary
Barbo Posted December 6, 2008 Author Posted December 6, 2008 Hi....The fighters are 1/144 from Academy Models, the airliner is 1/400 from Dragon Models. Yes , it is a 1/43 BMW from Heller, the wheels and tires are from a Maisto 1/43 diecast Ford Mustang. You are right MrObsessive , this is my second 1/400 airliner , the first one is still in the box half built because I lost one of the tires from my working table to the floor. I never found it. There is a error in my post I wanted to say 1/43 , not 1/48.....this is my favorite 1/144 fighter...Above and Beyond ...Barbo
