I'm really sorry I saw this thread this late. I built an AMT 70½ Camaro as a lowrider a couple of years ago using your first choise of wheels (golden spokes) . Yes, it was a bit tricky and I had to put a couple of hours working on the chassie to make it work, but I managed!
