Beautiful job, color combo looks great. Yes, AMT really stretched reality on the later versions. Originally it was an F 350 1 ton Super Camper Special with extra long wheelbase. This long wheelbase model only came in 2WD. Other problems with the kit is the lower molding was no longer used on '77-'79 versions and steering wheel design changed for '78

The 2wd was apparently to keep the center of gravity low with the large slide-in camper installed. Can you imagine how top heavy it would've been with a large camper AND a 4x4 lift.

As far as the lower trim goes, it was for the XLT trim package and it was available all the way to 1979.
