Had a lot of fun building something bigger than the normal 1/25th....this is pretty close to the final look...lay down some transparent blue over silver and gold and buff out the bare metal on the springer...the bars will be formed from brass tube pretty close to the shape thats on it now....IMGP0524-vi.jpg

Wicked! That is looking so good. I love your use of the skull air cleaner with the addition of the two venturi tubes.

Springer fork looks to be from an $8 diecast I've seen on eBay? I just picked up a Shaker Trike that will donate the stretched springer forks to my next chopper.

Thanks guys , springer is from Biglots 1/12 die-cast....$5 bucks..fork pins in ..no fuss trying to paint around the forks with frame glued together, 2 piece fork 3 screws..........all parts interchange....1/2 metal....1/2 plastic

Ken, thanks for the Big Lots tip! I just stopped by my local store at lunch and got a "springer donation chopper" for $6. Maybe I'll cut the forks closer to stock length and have a springer frontend for my old school bobber build. :(
