Hello all,

Hope everyone's well. Have a question on the best (see easiest) way to assemble the AMT (Italeri) Freightliner FLC cab. I see by the instructions sheet that it has a good number of pieces. SO that out of the way do you build the interior, then the outer cab around it. Or vice versa? As always help is appreciated. Thank you.

Regards,

Jerry

I have built several of the Italeri trucks, all with the multi-part cabs. I have found that with a little creativity you can build the cab complete, paint it and then install the interior after. This allows you to build the cab with solvent glue so it is strong, then paint. If you paint all the parts first then assemble it around the interior, you have to be very careful and use a CA glue. This makes it hard to get everything lined up and glued together as the parts have paint on them and they now don't want to line up or stay together.

My BRBO truck this year was the FLC and I did it as I decsribed with no issues. Build the cab, then paint, then install the interior.

You can see my build of this truck here:
