70 Sting Posted December 26, 2021 Posted December 26, 2021 Good evening, I hope this is the correct place to post this. I'm planning to build AMT's 1970 Corvette but would prefer to use BF Goodrich tires over the Goodyear's provided with the kit. Does anyone know of an alternative kit or aftermarket seller where I can purchase a set? Many Thanks!
Plowboy Posted December 26, 2021 Posted December 26, 2021 Just about every MPC kit in the '80s seemed to have them. They aren't that great IMO. Pretty sure Fireball Modelworks makes them.
70 Sting Posted December 26, 2021 Author Posted December 26, 2021 @Plowboy Thanks, I'll check them out. ?
Painted Black Posted December 27, 2021 Posted December 27, 2021 You can also get decals to do your own, https://www.mikesdecals.com/goodrich-radial-tire-decals-p-3937.html
70 Sting Posted December 27, 2021 Author Posted December 27, 2021 @Painted Black That would be a good ‘plan B’. I could flip the tires around and use decals. What I’d really like are fatter tires… something to mimic 245s. Luka Cee recently posted a video on making tires wider. Might be something to try.
