Ok guys, this afternoon has been very productive. Made good use of my time off.

I have moved my desk, paint booth/storage and all the totes we have. Still got a lot of work to do. I had to move the storm shutters frame and cut 6 inches off the legs to get it to fit where I wanted it. (You can barely see it on the left side of the garage.)

Here I have a littl more to get back in the garage

Here I need to move to get the other stuff inside

Half of the totes.... the rest is on the other side.

Still need to redo my desk

Funny you should mention house.... the totes on the left are full of random things we just havent been able to go through that got tossed in there to clean up a room. And the funny thing is, my house still looks like this.... B)

Clay I hope you aren't spray painting near a gas water heater.

No I spray away from it, or I go outside.

If you would just teach that daughter of yours to walk you could get rid of those strollers! :P

I think we all fight the same problem you have-too much stuff and too little room! I went from having a 10'x 10' hobby room in a basement, a 24'x24' garage and a 12'x16' two story barn shed in Illinois to a 20' x 20' garage and a 3' corner in the bonus room here in NC. Of course, I haven't shoveled snow in four winters and can paint bodies most days of the year without firing up the heater! :D

The lesson I learned is: if I haven't used it in a year or so, can sell it for a decent buck and not miss it, then I sell it! Model kits excluded of course! I will be making room in the garage tomorrow so I can set up a paint booth sometime this spring.

Keep at it Clay, you will find the work to be worth it once it is done.

That garage reminds me of the one I had in '99, '01, 04, '06, and the one I'm cleaning out for the next move. A lot of junk to go through and get rid of. Watching that show on HGTV about clearing clutter helps my wife with this problem, but she gets the inspiration and I do the work.

We also have many tubs of stuff that's "too good to throw away and clothes I'll get back into soon". ;) I've insisted that the clothes be cut down to one tub. Goodwill Ind. is going to make out like a bandit!

Great wife, very intelligent, pack rat syndrome.

This is coming from very recenet experience... You don't want to move all of that stuff. Trust me, I just did it and it sucked!

See, whats funny is that most of that stuff has moved cross country and back. And some has come up from her parents house. :D But thats another story that I dont want to get in to.

I picked up the pack rat from my Dad, but I think I got it worse. I see a nice or useful item on the side of the road before trash day and I get it. Just like I saw a grill a few houses down that I wouldnt mind getting. I am trying so hard to break that habit though.

When you can not remember the last time you used it ? Time too do away with it. Yard Sale time.

We have had 2 yardsales, and yet every time her parents come up we end up with more stuff. Funny how that happens.:lol:

you guys should have seen the stuff we got rid of before moving from Cali to SC. We had a big yard sale and still had about 3 tips worth to take to the thrift store. We got rid of 2 desks, the kitchen table, tv stand from our room and some end tables from the living room plus all those clothes i had been holding onto with the inten on loosing weight and getting back into them (but then i decided that if i lost the weight then i deserved to go shopping).

We are planning on having another yard sale once it warms up a little and once Amelia has outgrown some of her larger items such as the swing and her bouncy seat. In the mean time I am listing what i can on sites like Craigslist and BooKoo.com
