fordsixty Posted January 12, 2009 Author Posted January 12, 2009 yes i think they will. check this out. i just found Lexus' entry. i think it is going to be a great season for sedan racing. real advertizement for the manufactures. as Darryl Waltrip says, "boogity, boogity, boogity boys. let's go racing."
Nick F40 Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 (edited) Yeah, I can't wait, and the Rolex series, it seems like the big money weirld looking car racing is starting to go away and bring in the more realistic, less expensive, "grassroots" racing. ALL HAIL TOURING CARS! The ALMS ought to be good, especially in the GT2 class. I have seen that BMW for a while and I LOVE IT, it is simply beautiful and I can tell it's a BMW. I'm not sure on that Lexus because I've seen a lot of renderings. That Mercedes is just sick! A little outdated model though you think? The reason is because these manufacturers knew how to make cars and aren't struggling as much That BMW is right up your alley Dale and stop stealing my avatar subjects! That 2002? jumping is the coolest picture, you have to give me the url or something. Looks like the Lizards may have some competition!! Yeah I know right? It's the year they stop winning all the time. Them dangone Lizards! Edited January 13, 2009 by Nick F40
Nick F40 Posted January 14, 2009 Posted January 14, 2009 (edited) When it comes to GT racing, nothing compares to these guys, now this is what the GT2 class should look and race like, why can't we have it like that???? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l5Nv-3PcjGg Edited January 14, 2009 by Nick F40
Nick F40 Posted April 23, 2009 Posted April 23, 2009 Now that Jaguar is getting in the mix, it will be GOOD! BMW is doing great also.
george 53 Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 These are REAL cars running on ROADCOURSES? YESSSS! Now this is somethin I could get into! I still miss the Aussie Road Raceing series! To ME, THAT'S REAL raceing, Not that stupid goin in circles trash!(Sorry if I offended anyone)

That's if they can find the keys and keep them running. They have already run at Daytona, or attempted to. It also didn't pass scrutineering and made them take off a bunch of illegal aero bits. Their debut was less than shinning. One car failed to leave the grid for a long time, wouldn't start. Eventually, both cars had catastrophic engine failures, which is unusual for BMW. Rahal was funny, and said, "the lost oil pressure." The in car audio sounded like they lost the engine, which would explain the loss of oil pressure. I was wicked nasty. Edited April 24, 2009 by CAL
Nick F40 Posted April 24, 2009 Posted April 24, 2009 They did great at Long Beach they are certainly figuring it out FAST and with an ex Ferrari driver behind the wheel
Brendan Posted April 25, 2009 Posted April 25, 2009 They did great at Long Beach they are certainly figuring it out FAST and with an ex Ferrari driver behind the wheel He used to be a BMW driver before he was a Ferrari driver. Now he's back home. As for the car being illegal, they're running into issues with the carbon fiber roof. It is supposed to be either steel or aluminum under the rules. But there is also another rule that the main body structure has to come from the production-based car. Also they are having issues with the height of the rear wing being too tall. And there's many other small issues.
