cobraman Posted May 29, 2022 Posted May 29, 2022 Boy, that looks great ! I'm old enough to remember that !
olmadmodeler Posted May 29, 2022 Author Posted May 29, 2022 Thank you, yes it was a kit from the 90's I use to watch it on tv also.
TNT Posted May 29, 2022 Posted May 29, 2022 Dang, i bet i could not find one now without paying a premium. I do not remember much of the show but i like building stuff from yesteryear. Special effects in their infancy is amazing to me.
olmadmodeler Posted May 29, 2022 Author Posted May 29, 2022 You are probably right trying to find one today like a needle in a hay stack.
TNT Posted May 31, 2022 Posted May 31, 2022 Had to come back for a second look. I really like the robot, the whole thing is great, but the robot beats all. Is the robot about 8 inches tall or the other figure? There has to be one out there some where.
jaymcminn Posted May 31, 2022 Posted May 31, 2022 This is a bit before my time, but I'm surprised that the most high-tech weapon the robot can come up with is a piece of rusty pipe. Beautiful work on the build and finishes!
olmadmodeler Posted May 31, 2022 Author Posted May 31, 2022 Thank you all, Yes Anthony the robot is about 8-9 inches tall.

Mike C Posted June 1, 2022 Posted June 1, 2022 Cool build. He's fighting an enraged water heater. That scene was used in a Firesign Theater video called J-Men Forever.
olmadmodeler Posted June 1, 2022 Author Posted June 1, 2022 Thank you Michael, you are right a water heater with an ax run for the hill's
Mike C Posted June 1, 2022 Posted June 1, 2022 I just did a little search on YouTube and found J-Men Forever (I have it on DVD). If you've never seen it before you might get a good laugh out of it. And you will see that scene you made being used in it. But it has a different soundtrack. It's clips from those old Republic serials pieced together with a new soundtrack making a new story.
olmadmodeler Posted June 1, 2022 Author Posted June 1, 2022 That was great Michael, I haven't seen that in years almost like MST3K.
Aquanoid Posted May 18, 2024 Posted May 18, 2024 Cody never fought the "Water-Heater" robot, that was Larry Martin from "Zombies of the Stratosphere"
