Nice choice in subject matter, the 3/4 ton 4x4.  Toughest thing is to figure out what paint scheme and colors to go with. Like the period looking  wide base 16.5" tires and wheels. Just a reminder, a common mistake on these '70-'72 Moebius kits  is to snap the rear portion of the bed to the frame, it actually needs to be propped up a tiny bit in the rear so the body moldings can line up as a straight arrow from front to rear. Also, overdoing the black wash around the headlights, don't carry too far down, for proper looking headlight buckets. Will be following this build.

Did you foil those hubcaps?

Looks so good already!

 

I airbrushed Molotow mirror chrome on them. Detail painting was done with water based acrylic paint.

A good technique I can use on my Mercury conversion hubcaps, thanks!

You do realize your 'handle' does kinda suggest some emblem mods...

I have some Mercury trucks in the planning stage.
