Tim W. SoCal Posted November 14 Posted November 14 Vision care, as well as dental and hearing care, is vital when you're young and becomes more and more essential as we age our bodies get older and older. (I neglected and abused my body when I was younger and am now paying an enormous price, both physically and financially...) 1
Ace-Garageguy Posted November 14 Posted November 14 "Older whiskey, faster horses, and younger women" was a list of things in a song that a man might aspire to if I'm not mistaken.

Ace-Garageguy Posted November 15 Posted November 15 Be wary of "lady" bugs, 'cause they might be stink bugs wearing costumes. 3
Trainwreck Posted November 15 Posted November 15 Costumes are to Halloween what ugly sweaters are to Christmas. 1

Tim W. SoCal Posted November 15 Posted November 15 School fool tried to be cool by dancing on a stool with a sharp, pointy tool until he slipped in his drool and fell into the pool where his classmates were cruel, challenging him to a duel which isn't the same word as dual. 2
Ace-Garageguy Posted November 15 Posted November 15 (edited) Dual point distributors provide a hotter spark in battery-ignition engines by increasing 'dwell time', either by overlapping the closed time of the points (using one coil to fire all the plugs), or splitting the point duty into two circuits (like the vintage DuCoil and Spalding Flamethrower) using two coils, each one firing half the plugs. (NOTE: Do NOT trust AI's info on this. I ran the concept through it and got two different explanations. ONE was right. The other one was hopelessly scrambled, obviously drawn from blathering BS posted on the web by 'experts' with no clue) Edited November 15 by Ace-Garageguy 1

Ace-Garageguy Posted November 15 Posted November 15 Machine tools made 'offshore' 30+ years ago were often such faithful clones that their performance and accuracy could often be significantly improved by replacing their bearings with US or German counterparts. which fit perfectly in many cases.

Trainwreck Posted November 15 Posted November 15 Enjoy the little things in life and don't sweat the small stuff because it's just small stuff.
Ace-Garageguy Posted November 15 Posted November 15 Stuff in your eye, even small stuff, can feel like big stuff. 1
Tim W. SoCal Posted November 15 Posted November 15 Stuff that people do and things that people say sometimes amazes me and sometimes perplexes me, but one thing that I've found is the world keeps spinning around.
