Classic Metal Works 1958 Chevrolet in Sierra Gold -detailed with Bare Metal Foil

I really liked this model except for all the printed on silver trim and black dots in the headlights so I decided to get out the Bare Metal Foil and see what I could do with it. I also got rid of the ugly black dots in the headlights and detailed the interior. I also narrowed the whitewalls a bit as they looked too wide to me.

I think this model is much more accurate than the Danbury Mint ones which had a number of issues  (rocker moldings too high, spare tire well hanging way too far down, etc.).  I fixed those issues on one of my Danbury models (including removing the continental kit)  and still like this one much better even though  the chassis and interior aren't as nice.  I love the Sierra Gold color too.  It's much nicer than in the photos.

These are easy to find and can be had for very little if you are patient. I paid $15 for this one, new in the box. They made it in a number of other colors too.

This was a very easy modification and to me it made a huge improvement.

Any and all comments are always welcomed.  Thanks for taking the time to look!  -Rich
