Jantrix Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 I was Googling some hot rods a while back and spotted a duece that had the front axle way out in front of the grill mounted on two half-leaf springs? I'd didn't hink much of the idea at first, but I have an idea crawlin' around the back of my head, and now I can't find the picture again. What is this sort of suspension called? I can imagine from the fact that it is not more widely used, that it doesn't work very well. But it sure does look cool. Any help would be appreciated.
jeffinvt Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 Jantrix, I think your talking about Quarter Eliptical springs. I have also tried to find reference on these and come up just about empty. I did however get a set of resin springs from Early Years Resin, now just need to do something with them...
purplehornies Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 Google "Suicide Perch" plenty of pix that way.
KanelKustoms Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 Check out Speedway Motors website. They sell Posies quarter eliptical springs and the mounts. And have a picture.
