Tom Kren Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009 This is too cool and feel a project comming on!
RodBurNeR Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009 I am pretty sure it's the same car. I like it too other than the billet wheels. put some wires from the AMT Riviera and it would be slick! I think Rik Hoving might have more pics , maybe even Dave Lindsay? http://members.fotki.com/wackydave/about/ http://public.fotki.com/Rikster/
RodBurNeR Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009 (edited) Tom, you know it just drives me nuts when I can't find something....so hours later, here ya go! From R&C. Edited January 28, 2009 by awbcrazy
Lyle Willits Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009 Tom - The wheels you need are in the AMT '66 Riviera kit. Just don't paint the centers like I did,,,leave the whole thing chromed.
James Flowers Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009 Just one thing if you build it Tom? Please put a Ford motor in it . With the 5.0 motors out there now there is no reason for Chevy motors in Fords. That practice is just so out of date too Me. I have tick off a lot of owners at car shows telling the them they have a nice Ford body and they ruined it with a Chevy motor.
Eshaver Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009 While the Wire wheels would set the tone better for the car , I still favor the old Buick flippers or Cadillac " Sombrero' caps . Ed Shaver
SoCalCarCulture Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009 This is too cool and feel a project comming on! Here's the pics, from 2006, in case the rest of you missed my post on that other board...

I have tick off a lot of owners at car shows telling the them they have a nice Ford body and they ruined it with a Chevy motor. I have to agree. Case in point the latest R&C has a beautiful 56 Merc with a GM crate engine and tranny. As it costs about the same these days for crate motors. Imagine if I was to put a 427 Sideoiler into a tri 5 1:1 Chevy it cause so much controversy. But I do like the looks of the car just don't show me the engine!
MR BIGGS Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009 Dam you Tom. I wanted to build this car. I got a few pics of it from this weekend show in Pomona, CA. The guy who built it was there and I had asked him what color was that and he said he honestly forgot. So I told him thanks’ and walked away. As the day went on I happen to walk passed that car once again, and the builder stopped me and asked me if I was still going to build the car. I told him yes so he said here is my card I looked at him weird like what the F#$% He said some kids were running around and hit the show display sign, it fell and put a nice big dent and scratch on the rear ¼ panel. The moral of the story is now he has to mach the paint and for me to call him in a few weeks so he can tell me what the colors he used are. So when I get that info I will give it to you. He thinks the base of the car is GM Gold.
Bryce Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009 Great project Tom - I am sure you will do it justice! I look forward to seeing what you come up with...
