M W Elky Posted October 16, 2022 Posted October 16, 2022 I built this mostly from the fantastic revell 1941 Willy’s gasser kit with these few exceptions the rear wheels are resin cast the small block Chevy heads , valve covers, injection parts were sourced from the amt 55 nomad. I made the injector tubes from aluminum tubing. The headers are from Amt’s parts pack. The engine block , and transmission are the hemi parts that came with the Willy’s kit .Paint is by tamyia. The decals are from slixx. These revell willys kits build up really nice, and with a lot of different aftermarket decals available for them. as always thanks for looking , Mike 1
Zippi Posted October 18, 2022 Posted October 18, 2022 I love the ole 41 Willy's Gassers. Very nice job on capturing the cover pic.
XYHARRY Posted October 20, 2022 Posted October 20, 2022 Cool Willys gasser Mike, I love your take on the 1:1 gasser. I have the amt 41 Willys and hope it builds as nice as yours. I'll also be using tall injector tubes from my parts box. Again, cool build. Cheers, David. ??
M W Elky Posted October 20, 2022 Author Posted October 20, 2022 (edited) Hi David the amt Willy’s builds up real nice to, and it’s not to hard cut the hood from the fender’s then glue to the back half of the fenders that are molded to the body. I’ve done this with the pickup body and it came out really nice. If you look back several pages on these topics somewhere around February of this year. I posted one of my early building the covers with the silver dollar Willy’s pickup, and you can see how well it came out. Good luck building yours , and thanks for the nice complement, mike Edited October 20, 2022 by M W Elky Changed date
