454malibu Posted October 17, 2022 Posted October 17, 2022 Hi guys. I have a Revel 55 Chev convertible that I want to paint the coral and grey paint scheme. I know the pink is coral but what is the grey called. Plan on using MCW paints. Any help would be appreciated.
Monty Posted October 17, 2022 Posted October 17, 2022 I'd say Shadow Gray https://news.classicindustries.com/1955-1956-1957-chevy-colors-paint-codes
espo Posted October 17, 2022 Posted October 17, 2022 I did a Revell '55 Bel Air hardtop when they offered the new tool model. I used Krylon Coral Isle and Model Master Anthracite Grey with Tamiya Clear. While not dead on they sure look close to me. The Krylon is an enamel paint and is what I would call sort of soft since it is easily sanded thru trying to get rid of some orange peel.
BubbaBrown Posted October 18, 2022 Posted October 18, 2022 1955 two tones 594/626, 594 is shadow gray met. MCW # 5511 air brush or2604 spray can and 626 Coral is #5510 air brush and 2741 spray can, per MCW book.
