This is built from the revell duster funny car kit . With the addition of the polar lights font wheels, and the excellent decals from chuck boener . I also moved engine forward and lowered the front of the body. sometime in the future I will add the chute. I’m really happy with the stance on this one

As always thanks for looking ?,   Mike EEEC705F-B07E-4ADE-B1A3-EB98FBC46134.thumb.jpeg.35458d0acbab56971010d13d72f9a1bb.jpeg21620EF1-093D-45E1-A15E-EE929FCAA30C.thumb.jpeg.a88967a3ea5ea12614ab779139225ff5.jpeg89F05D43-97FD-40ED-9132-EDAC3B048B92.thumb.jpeg.947e675aeb95bb1ac5089b24dba561cc.jpeg561E90B9-B9ED-4747-B65F-48236A44BD9C.thumb.jpeg.68e93f8b1c80b54be7bb482040429789.jpeg

Love it! Nice work! Elapsed Times was a great magazine and this was a good article and super cool car. Great looking replica that you’ve done ??

It was my favorite magazine of the not to distant past just like super stock & drag illustrated I guess all good things must go.

That is Top Notch all the way, love the stance.

I use to order the Ramchargers Performance catalogs back when I was in Junior High. Loved looking through them and dreaming.....

Sean thanks for the nice complement. I use to get the paw catalog and dream of the day of ordering a 440 wedge crate motor. Of course I’m still dreaming for that day. Great memories

Yet another beautiful cover car! I’m blown away by how quickly you knock these builds out Mike and each one is a very clean and high quality build. Do you display your collection with the mag cover behind each one? It would constitute an easy winning “collection” entry at a model contest someday (and an article in MCM?).

So does the body flip up on this one? If so, post another pic or two. Much thanks!

Hi John yea it flips it’s just a pain in the neck to get it to sit right on the chassis with the body closed . I’ll open it up and add some pics when I get back from vacation. I just snapped a few quick pics before I left. I don’t build as fast as you might. Sometimes real work gets in the way. All I build is drag cars and I think I have 300+. So displaying them with the magazine can’t happen yet.space restrictions my den is only 8’x10’. To do it right would be to build a long pitcher frame attached to a shelf. I built the prototype for this type of frame 20 some years ago oh how time gets away from me. Thanks for the good words, Mike
