Dental Elevator Tool, eh?  That thing surely would raise someone off their seat!

I use a curved scribed tool, the back edge of a used #11 blade and various dental tools.  A small piece of 180 or 220 grit sandpaper, folded in half and run along the scribed line, can help to smooth the line to a uniform width/depth.

I also use the stuff that you do. If anyone has a tooth ache in my house. I will offer to use that tool on them!
