Would anybody happen to know who produces these if any. And if not anybody know any good techniques for using elastic bands. I figure that I might have to cut them to shorten them and glue the ends to a hidden part of the crankshaft pully, but this could get messy.

Thanks

One method is to use electrical tape, rip off a length of it, and fold it over in half. Cut it to the size and length needed and glue it on with epoxy or superglue making sure you hide you seem somehweres. Thanks. Jody

ON MOST BACKPACKS SKI JACKETS THERE IS A CORD THAT STRETCHES.WHEN YOU CUT INTO IT THERE USUALLY MULTIPLE CORDS INSIDE THAT ARE PERFECT FOR THIS. CUT THE LENGTH YOU SUPER GLUE THE ENDS TOGETHER. THEN PUT IT AROUND THE PULLEYS.

I have heard of fishing lure being used, there is a flat type of lure that is long and comes in colors "like black" available at local big box stores :o

Ya, the rubber skirt material you can buy for fishing lures. Looks great with a real rubber finish.
