98 corvette roadster Posted February 14, 2009 Posted February 14, 2009 Revell's '31 Ford Sedan has a really nice set of wide whitewalls, big and littles. Has a nice set of steel wheels and caps as well. Hope this helps.
Bernard Kron Posted February 14, 2009 Posted February 14, 2009 The popular favorite in the after market is Modelhaus: http://www.modelhaus.com/index.php?y=&...p;Submit=Search No pics on the site but here are some very useful pics that other have provided (to which thanx!) http://s223.photobucket.com/albums/dd211/O...Pics/08%20pics/ http://public.fotki.com/jsharisky/modelhaus_resin_items/ I have never used them but people swear by them and their products are frequently shown on many builds and look great! I personally have purchased wide whites from Norm Veber at Replicas & Miniatures Co. Of Maryland (RMCM). RMCM has no website but here is a picture of those tires: (Click on picture for larger image) I have also purchased nice wide whites from The Parts Box in Austrtalia. Generally they sell them in sets with wheels, but they also sell them stand alone. The architecture of their website doesn't allow direct links so go to their site, http://www.thepartsbox.com/ , and look under Wheels and you'll see lots of them. They ship promptly, the prices are reasonable once you adjust for Aussie currency and they are very helpful with questions, etc. In the after market you have to be careful about wheel compatibility. The simplest solution is to use the suppplier's wheels. For example some of the wide whites I purchased from The parts Box only fit their wheels. Fortunately they were of the type and quality I needed. Be sure and ask! I hope this is useful. B.
