just an old hotrod

This pic popped up on another site i use. It says its from 1947 but i dont know any more than that though i suspect they have the wrong date since it has white walls. I just thought some of you might get a kick from seeing it

Nice shot.

The tires look bald. Remember that used tires on budget hot-rods were more about holding air than making a style statement.

Far as the date goes, I'd agree with ca. '47. The clothes are right for late '40s, and the whitewalls look like takeoffs from something else in-period (note date on door below).

To me it looks like the tires got swapped around. Too many burn outs on the rears. Then the fronts were swapped out to the rear?
