GOTH KUSTOMS Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 That frame came out just so awesome, but of course I'm watching, and hearing mine scream at me as the dust settles ever more deeply, found my caddy frame, just got to find the rest of the stuff, but I'm a watchin this build real close, and it's looking great so far
RodneyBad Posted February 19, 2009 Author Posted February 19, 2009 Thanks, the chassis is the most interesting part of the build. it was only a wee bit too narrow and a Scale 2ft 9"inches short. The interior has me stumped. If your not able to see into the rear portion (tinted windows). Why finish it? The floor looks perty bad right now. I'm gonna have to raise the floor or lower the chassis (raise the body off the chassis more(there is room for it) about 3"scale inches Question. There are 2 Chrome bumps on the upper grill portion that look like they really don't belong. are the suppose to be Grill lights for an Ambulance?

Answer:yes they are supposed to be blinkers for the ambulance.Just get yourself a 59 caddy grill and boom you got yourself a hearse. As for the floor get some balsa wood and cut up a new floor cover.Don't cheat with tinted windows bro make this one stand out and grab them judges and pull them in .
RodneyBad Posted February 19, 2009 Author Posted February 19, 2009 oh its gonna pull em in alright O ya, it'll pop when it's done Thanks Kevin, I'll just color them in blue or someting. Make good strobe lights Guess I'll have to cut the back door open to work on the inside floor
RodneyBad Posted February 21, 2009 Author Posted February 21, 2009 (edited) Back door is Off. Now a few changes had to be made. Rear axle hump was too high through floor. So I raise(lowered) the chassis (3"inches) right to the bottom of the Body line. I may just rebuild the Whole interior tub with the Revell Caddie. So another question is, what is the best way to redo the floor with the Hump? Cut the hump down? Build up the floor to Level? OR just build over the hump? Edited February 21, 2009 by Zukiholic
Spike Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 i say take some sheet styrene and make the floor with one piece, and set it in ontop of the hump
Custom Hearse Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 That looks awesome Rodney! Nice job on the frame. Michael and I have the same situation.... Mines screaming at me too!
RodneyBad Posted February 22, 2009 Author Posted February 22, 2009 i say take some sheet styrene and make the floor with one piece, and set it in ontop of the hump With that, that issue is solved. But one thing has been leading to another. I Just figured out I should've had the windshield installed while test fitting interior tub and chassis. GGrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr Cutting the interior tub all apart now. That looks awesome Rodney! Nice job on the frame. Michael and I have the same situation.... Mines screaming at me too! Mine screaming "I should've kept it simple". Not alot of progress. just lots of replanning and rebuilding Frame is fine Body is getting there. Interior is fighting me the whole way.. "O" what fun.
B-dub Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 I have a strange idea I wish I could do for a hearse...
RodneyBad Posted February 22, 2009 Author Posted February 22, 2009 I have a strange idea I wish I could do for a hearse... I now what I Want to do to it. But I'm gonna finish it instead.
Spike Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 i still gotta finish mine just got a resin coffin for it last week
RodneyBad Posted February 22, 2009 Author Posted February 22, 2009 i still gotta finish mine just got a resin coffin for it last week That has been awhile and a few model projects ago. Where is the coffin from? I just got an Idea too
RodneyBad Posted February 23, 2009 Author Posted February 23, 2009 (edited) got the coffin from a guy on LIL Hook a Brotha up? Back door is Cut and Hinged Lil Funkie but That's the way I know and like. I just did the inside door like that so I could hold it in place and adjust b-4 Glueing. It's secure. I'm able to take it off and only had to make one Hinge. Edited April 1, 2009 by Zukiholic
GOTH KUSTOMS Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 Yea I've almost sent Reaper Ride to the parts wall more'n once, and I'll get to it again, Your's is looking really good, I saw Customhears's now I wanna do a tilt frond end, and now I see you've opend the back door of your's now I wanna do a opening rear door, thanx, for sharing this build, keep up the work, it will be worth it in the end....
RodneyBad Posted March 5, 2009 Author Posted March 5, 2009 A little progress is better than no progress. Actually it took awhile to fix up the interior and figure what to do. Smoothed out the floor, cut out the stock seat and added Revells Caddie seat and put in power window switches, Easier than window cranks Installed the speaker box sit up from Revells Uptown Magnum Wagon. Anybody know what kit or where to find a chain link steering wheel? You won't see what's between the chasiss and the interior tub when done. The fun part of morphing two different kits. Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.
