Ramcharger Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 Here's a pro mod Merc I've been working on for years. The top chop is a mess. I've put it away several times and I finally decided enough is enough! It's a '55 Chevy Chassis with a Cammer motor. Here it is in primer. Comments and criticisms welcome. Thanks for Looking!
Ramcharger Posted February 11, 2009 Author Posted February 11, 2009 Here's some pics with paint on it. I still have flames to add and clear. Thanks for looking!
Smart-Resins Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 Hey, those tops I would not even attempt yet! I am trying to slaughter a 40 ford panel right now and just dont know. Even if your tops not perfect, I can say 2 things, you saved the B pillars and it is looking good in paint! Cant wait to see all of the fancy stuff come together under the hood now! Jody
Custom Hearse Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 It looks great Ron! What color are you going to use for the flames?
Fletch Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 Believe me Ron, I've seen and done a whole hell of a lot worse on chops then yours. It looks pretty good from here. The concept is definitely sound. Looks like it should be a cool finished piece.
Ramcharger Posted February 11, 2009 Author Posted February 11, 2009 Thanks, guys! You are too kind. Mike, it almost became a "hit the wall behind the workbench" accident diorama. Custom Hearse, the flames will be hot rod flames in yellow to lime green fade with an orange pinstripe around them.
MADmodelDOCTOR Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 It looks pretty wild. Flames should be cool. Nice job. later,

OH I see I'm not the only one with a parts wall, ( part of the wall with a parts box on the floor ) nice work man, it looks sharp...
Ramcharger Posted February 16, 2009 Author Posted February 16, 2009 More progress! I painted the flames. Next comes the clear, BMF, windows, and misc. chrome! Again, comments and criticisms welcome! Thanks for looking!
MADmodelDOCTOR Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 Looks nice. Should be cool with a ton of clear! later,
Custom Hearse Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 Man those flames look great! Excellent job on them Ron!
