Bigjeepzz Posted October 5, 2006 Posted October 5, 2006 Hello folks, I just ran across this place. I notice there are alot of familiar names here. (I was wondering where everyone went) Oh and I see Mark and his boys from the Nascar board are here too. See any Jeff and Jimmy pics lately??? LOL. Its good to be here, thanks.
Wildrice Posted October 5, 2006 Posted October 5, 2006 Welcome Jake. Post up some of those cool off road builds.
MonoPed Posted October 5, 2006 Posted October 5, 2006 No Jeff & Jimmie pics, but we are keeping Mark away from any batteries...
VW Dave Posted October 5, 2006 Posted October 5, 2006 What's the battery story? I missed it. You'll surely get a charge out of it...like Mark did. Brian tells it best.
mikemodeler Posted October 5, 2006 Posted October 5, 2006 welcome aboard Jake! There are many familiar names here and we can use some of those outstanding tutorials you have on suspensions. Mike Scheve
Len Geisler Posted October 5, 2006 Posted October 5, 2006 Yes Jake Welcome Aboard..... Suspension tutorial???? Please share, I have a couple off road projects, I would certainly like to "tweak" a bit.... Thanks...... 8)
MonoPed Posted October 6, 2006 Posted October 6, 2006 What's the battery story? I missed it. Appearently Mr. Hadley was having electrical problems with his truck. Turned out he pinched a cable to ground when he was installing a new battery. I've swapped batteries in a similar year Chevy truck...how on earth did he manage to do that?? Way to go Mark!!
mhadman Posted October 6, 2006 Posted October 6, 2006 First off,Hey JAKE...You guys will love Jakes work...awesome buildier and Caster!!! 2ndly,Brian and the rest off his goofy buddies have taken this battery story and ran away with it.. to clarify, there was a ground wire running from the Tach that was pinched under the Battery when i put a new one in...It took months for the insulation to finally wear away, and when it did,i started seeing the electrical system glitch when running.problem solved ,end of story.
MonoPed Posted October 6, 2006 Posted October 6, 2006 ...there was a ground wire running from the Tach that was pinched under the Battery when i put a new one in... OK, so I ask again, How on earth did you manage that?
