Hello, all. I managed to snag this original gem for my birthday. I built one of these when it was released in the 90's. It was the first muscle car I built. Now that one of course is lost to time. But a search online managed me a chance to do it again.

However, as I said before, it's an original release. The yellow plastic parts are unharmed. But the windows were marred, the decal sheet looked unusable, and the chrome is pitted. I will be able to replace a lot of these problematic areas. The thing is, if I am unable to replace any of the chrome, is there a way to restore it? Any advice will be appreciated.

One version of that kit or another has been in near constant production for the last 30 or so years, there are plenty of spare parts around. You can find people selling the entire chrome tree on ebay, just be sure it has the parts you're looking for since there are so many different versions available. If you only need a part or two you can post in the Wanted section below, that kit is so common most of us have likely a few parts for it floating around.
