Has anyone put the body from the AMT 2011 Camaro convertible (curbside “Showroom Replicas”) and put it on the 2017 full detail Camaro chassis?

If it will work, my thoughts are to open the hood on the convertible for a full detail convertible to go with a regular 2017 camaro and a “shooting brake” Camaro wagon body I got from C1 models.

It’ll be a “Camaro Trifecta” for me doing all 3 at the same time…different colors of course.

The 2011 is a Gen5 and 2017 a Gen6.  I would have to check, but there are some differences in the chassis, but likely not enough to be a big deal.  The engine bays likely vary as the Gen5 hood does not fit the Gen6 body.  Again, I'd have to check out the differences.  The Gen6 is an LT with direct injection, not an LS as in the Gen5.

I do know with a little work that the 2011 convertible can be fit to a Revell 2010 SS chassis and the engine would also be correct.  Don't offhand know how easy to acquire one though.  I was fortunate enough to get a few of the 2010 SS back when they were available, several from show/meeting raffles.
