Len Woodruff Posted March 19, 2023 Posted March 19, 2023 I need some ideas on how to build a front alance for this project. Any Ideas will be greatly apprecited. Here are 2 pics of the model plus the actual view of the alance on the car.
stitchdup Posted March 19, 2023 Posted March 19, 2023 I'd try one from an early camaro, its close to the shape and the kits are easy to find

I tried your suggestion and it might work. I had a Revell 69 Charger and it has some of the correct curves too. But like the Camaro it would need a lot of fitting to work. Any suggestions on scratch building one? I just can't get my mind focus on where to start.

Maybe some food containers would have the correct shapes on the edges but would be a bit flimsy to work with. To fix that I'd build up the back side of the valance with epoxy or something to make it firm. Then it just needs trimming to fit and some body work on the joins

espo Posted March 20, 2023 Posted March 20, 2023 Try making a few prototype shapes using card stock, like a business card or paper. When you find a shape that you want transfer that to some flat or even round stock to the shape you want.
