I got a Cop Out funny car on clearance last week in a dusty corner of a hobby shop I haven't done many funny cars or dragsters but it was cheap and it's a Mopar so its my next build. I'm not real crazy about the "cop" theme of the car any resources for a make over would be helpful. Pictures of that era drag motor the 426 Hemi. Mostly colors, there is a lot of chrome to strip off of the motor parts. Things like correct motor colors plug wires I want to make a fairly detailed model.

Mredz- just Google "vintage funny car forums" and you'll have hours of photos to look at.

As mentioned, the Cop Out kit was originally released by Monogram (when they and Hot WHeesl were both owned by Mattel, IIRC) as Tom Mongoose McEwen's Duster F/C, so that would be a great replica, but there were plenty of others who ran Duster F/Cs, too.

I bought one of these a year or so ago. Built it box stock with very little detailing. Painted the grill chrome/silver, put blower restraints on it. That's about it.

It did go together pretty good. No fit problems.

Also had this one back around '79- '80. Basically the reason I bought it again.

If your not gonna use the light bar I could use it to replace the one missing on mine?
