Hey Mike,

Build one more, paint it the color of your '34, put a hitch on it, add a trailer and you'll have a show rig like mine!

So, what's on the build list for '09?

Mike,

You've already got the show truck done; your '34 pickup!! All you need to build now is the hauler and the trailer!!

Did you do that all Subconsciously?

They all Look Great.

Where can I find a set of plans for a trailer??

Mike,

I made my rig from the Model King reissue of the '53 Ford hauler and truck.

I use a bit of sheet styrene and some triangluar stock to make the new enclosure on the trailer. The first thing I did was to take a picture of the trailer, bring it into PowerPoint to get a rough idea of what I wanted it to look like.

Trailer01-vi.jpg

Using the picture as a template, I cut the sides, added 1/4" triangular stock to the inside edges to support the top piece, then rounded over the edges. This picture shows the triangular stock inside the hood of the trailer that joins the sides to the top and held everything together when I rounded the edges.

This shot shows how the edges were rounded over.

I think that your '34 pickup is a prime candidate for this kind of rig!!

Send me an email if you need more info.
