El Roberto
Could I get some feedback about Tru-color pearl paint? Tru color says it's a "hot" acrylic whatever that means. Thanks
El Roberto
Oops, I forgot to check the archives for answers. Anyway....what primer would you recommend?
Shark
I use Duplicolor spray cans to prime kits painted with automotive lacquer, and you don't get much "hotter" than those. Just apply your paint in lighter coats, not too wet.
Dave G.
Hot acrylics are an acrylic polymer in a solvent base much like acetone, could even contain some acetone in the mix. It could also be acrylic lacquer which is usually in a relatively hot solvent base as well. It should go over most lacquer primers fine, Duplicolor, Mr Primer Surfacer, Mr Surfacer etc.
