c. jackson Posted July 30, 2023 Posted July 30, 2023 Looking to build this one but can't find any info on the color. Is it white, off white, cream? Any info will help. 1
Vintage AMT Posted July 30, 2023 Posted July 30, 2023 (edited) Looks to be daffodil yellow on my screen. https://mystarcollectorcar.com/old-trapper-a-1967-plymouth-gtx-super-stock-legend-finds-a-home/ Edited July 30, 2023 by Vintage AMT 1 1
1972coronet Posted July 30, 2023 Posted July 30, 2023 I was thinking that the car was, at least originally, this colour The 1970 Hamtramck Registry - 1967 Paint Chip Charts Slideshow (hamtramck-historical.com) . Just as likely, it's a non-stock paint colour, though I can't place whose yellow that shade is (I'm thinking of an Oldsmobile yellow, perhaps Pontiac, but am not sure). Apparently, the car's not one of the factory S/S Belvedere models from '67 ( 'RO23' in the V.I.N. prefix ).
DanL Posted August 26, 2023 Posted August 26, 2023 Saw the Old Trapper many times when I was a kid... at Speedway Park in Edmonton ,Alberta. It was pretty much unbeatable in it's class. Cheers...
Ian McLaren Posted August 26, 2023 Posted August 26, 2023 (edited) I believe the car was Dafodil Yellow from the factory, Code R, in Plymouth just Yellow. The color in the insert I'm not sure about but I may be able to find out through some contacts here in Calgary. Edited August 26, 2023 by Ian McLaren
Ian McLaren Posted August 26, 2023 Posted August 26, 2023 I should have a definitive answer in a couple of days concerning the correct maroon.
Ian McLaren Posted September 1, 2023 Posted September 1, 2023 (edited) This is as close as I can get to the answer, it is believed that the dark panel was done in code Q Dark Red to keep all of the paint OE correct. I'm waiting on a second source for confirmation but no reply as of yet. Edited September 1, 2023 by Ian McLaren
