Horrorshow Posted August 17, 2023 Posted August 17, 2023 Seems like some strange instructions and parts fit issues. Anyone else have trouble?
Classicgas Posted August 17, 2023 Posted August 17, 2023 I built the mercury cyclone version. Hands down the worst fitting kit I have ever built.

Classicgas Posted August 18, 2023 Posted August 18, 2023 I didn't pay for mine, I did a review for Scale Auto.
bytownshaker Posted August 18, 2023 Posted August 18, 2023 Don't use the Boss 429 engine it requires lots of modifications to make it fit. Check out www.mnacreations.com/Models/ lots helpful tips. 1
Steamboat Posted August 18, 2023 Posted August 18, 2023 I built the Torino when it first came out about 20 years ago.. The nose was bent up from the wheel arches forward. I was able to bend it back after dipping it in hot water. Not sure if Polar Lights ever corrected that.
Shark Posted August 19, 2023 Posted August 19, 2023 If you look on Randy Ayers forum, you will find several nice builds of these kits including some with the '67 Fairlane body. There are also some good tutorials on building them. Model Car magazine did a good article on detailing them, forgot which issue. I finished up ones with an AMT 1968 Torino body and working on a 1971 Mercury using the MPC body. Plan on doing several more variations.
