So I was testing out some new 1K I got, and after all said and done it’s really soft. I mean it sands, compounds, and polishes good, but it take’s fingerprints easily. I tried using cleaner wax that I use on 2K, but it still leaves finger prints. Is that just the nature of 1K?

My guess is that it never fully cured. I have a model that I painted with Createx acrylic and it had a similar issue, tho not as bad as fingerprints showing. I shelved it for months and eventually it got harder but I still wound up sanding it all off because I'd done a ton of body mods and stripping it would have made me start all over.

You might try sitting it out in the sun for a short while to see if it will cure but be careful, it can melt or warp the body if you live in a hot climate. Good luck.

Well this was at 110F baking for a hour. Probably just gonna stick with 2K for the bodies, and use the 1K for wheels etc that need a good gloss. Might try another test sometime, and let it bake longer.

Createx will sit semi flexible possibly forever unless you add their 4030 intercoat into it. 4030 is made just for that purpose, so the paint hardens on hard surfaces.  And it also sticks better. Createx was made for fabrics and to be heat set (pressed with a heat press to around 320F). But Createx also recognized the need people had to make the colors work for other purposes, like models. So 4030 addresses that. 4030 is also made to work with their 4011 reducer, to which their 4011 is now their standard reducer across the whole Createx line to include the Candy 2o and Wicked line up..

You can find all this in Createx videos or at the website. Just sayin.
