I'm one of those people who still likes most Testors/Model Master enamel paints, especially their vast array of reds.  To that end, I do occasional ebay searches to see what's still out there at reasonable prices.  I found another big sale the other day (probably 20-some colors in varying quantities) and one listing was for MM Deep Red Pearl.  It was an acrylic, but the prospect of that shade intrigued me, so I bought two bottles.

The seller's picture should have given me pause,

New TESTORS Model Master Deep Red Pearl, 4651, Acrylic, 0.5 fl ounces - Picture 2 of 3   but I pulled the trigger anyway.  Upon receiving the package, I saw that both bottles looked like the picture above.  In a desperate attempt to change reality, I fired up my trusty Badger paint mixer and went after it, but the paint stubbornly remained blue.

Occam's razor says it was a factory label issue.  (Seller had more of these than the two I bought).  Any other opinions?

Ironically, the blue color should have been a red flag, but I was too hyped about the color to do any due diligence.  Hope this prevents others from making the same mistake.
