Guest Davkin Posted March 3, 2009 Posted March 3, 2009 I started this project a while ago and work on it bit by bit. It's based on the Revell '29 Ford 3'n1 Pickup and has the Revell '32 Sedan flathead. This project will probably be on hold until after GSL though, I have another project I need to finish first. The initial mockup; The chassis and suspension to this point; You can see more details in my Fotki album; http://www.dsao.fotki.com/scale-models/the-a-bucket/ David
torinobradley Posted March 3, 2009 Posted March 3, 2009 (edited) Awesome start on that A. I was starting a T Bucket but it was going to be just a parts box throw together. OCD has fully taken over and that all simplicity went out the window. She'll be a full detail every nut and bolt accounted for. This is major inspiration you got going there! Fletch Posted March 3, 2009 Posted March 3, 2009 David, that chassis is unbelievable. OCD or not that is a work of art. Looking forward to seeing this one move forward.
Dennis Lacy Posted March 3, 2009 Posted March 3, 2009 You're off to a terrific start, David! Perfect stance and proportions and that chassis is insanely cool and well engineered. Looking forward to seeing more!
Raul_Perez Posted March 3, 2009 Posted March 3, 2009 Very nice looking chassis design!! Thanks for sharing,
Guest Davkin Posted March 4, 2009 Posted March 4, 2009 Thanks for the compliments guys. I must have some kind of fetish for frames since I've started quite a few models with heavily modified frames that didn't get far beyond that point. David
noname Posted March 4, 2009 Posted March 4, 2009 Very nice Davekin. I like the early rods. Drive em to work or school through the week and out to the salt flats or drag strip on the weekend. I have to admit, the chassis on the old 32s and Model A's are fun. Doing old school builds are even better. More simple and more raw!!!
