Would someone be able to post a pic of one of the coil springs that MPC used on the 68 Corvette (and others) along with the measurements?  Obviously, I have a junkyard kit that is missing the springs and I'd like to try and wind my own.

Thanks a bunch!

IIRC MPC stopped using the metal springs after the '76 Corvette kits, so the chances of someone having them might be pretty low.

Here's what you do:  the frame has "pockets" where the springs go.  Find a coarse threaded screw that fits in there, then wrap an appropriate gauge of beading wire around it to make the spring.   Extra detail:  in 1:1 C3 Corvettes, the front shock absorbers go inside the spring.  The kit doesn't have front shocks, but you can make them easily from overlapping pieces of brass or plastic.  Paint them a color (yellow?) that makes it easier for them to be seen.
