Scale-Master Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 An out of the box build using Tamiya paints throughout, even right from the can in several circumstances. I started this a good six months ago, but was interrupted many times by many things. While this is not a simple model to build, it is rewarding if you have the patience to take your time. It's the delicacy of some of the parts that can be frustrating, especially when you forget about little details from an earlier building episode, (not a fault of the kit). A tip to anyone who is looking to build one, the TS-76 Mica Silver is a great match for the silver on the decal sheet. And go easy with the solvent. Some is needed, to make the decals conform, but they get gooey very quickly even with mild decal solvents. - Mark
Nick F40 Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 Wow this is really nice, very clean. This is so nice, still when they looked half decent and without those stupid wheel covers. I think I like the OZ's better. I have the LEGO version of this car
fordh8r Posted March 9, 2009 Posted March 9, 2009 Well, you pulled it off! It looks great, even for having used basic building techniques all the way through. Nicely done!
crispy Posted March 9, 2009 Posted March 9, 2009 What a super clean build. These kits always look intimidating. You've done a super job, as always! LOL Chris
XJ6 Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 Nice...Nice...i am getting ready to break ground on this kit....came across yours and "Wow"....for sure i can't wait to get going on this....I have the Tamiya " Full View" version of this subject... 3men2s Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 it's great to see so many F1's....It was worth the time
Rob Hall Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 Sharp build...I had forgotten one of my former employers was a Williams sponsor back then...
Scale-Master Posted March 29, 2012 Author Posted March 29, 2012 Thanks guys. I am pretty sure I used TS-42 Light Gunmetal Gray for the wheels. It is probably called out in the instructions too.
Scuderia Posted March 30, 2012 Posted March 30, 2012 Thats gorgeous, and in that sunlight looks like it rolled out of the paddock. Nicely done!
model.maker Posted March 30, 2012 Posted March 30, 2012 Very nice build almost swear I'm looking at the real car in those shots!
