Tamiya clear red works well in this case, with the chrome backing it, but I would be tempted to drill them out and tint clear UV resin and make the lenses.

Uv resin does need a uv light to cure, yes. The simplest thing that gets good results for me has been Tamiya clear red over chrome. But that is only when I don’t plan on adding LEDs. :)

And for all the detail sticklers...buckle on the inside or on the door side?

Lookin good. Glad you were able to save the paint job!

Just about the same time you were typing your compliment I was *&%^&ing it up. I taped off the the top while painting the bay and got very sloppy. Not to mention tape residue. HELP!

Thats happened to me several times. I usually carefully wet sand the tape spot down and re-polish it. The car is looking great!

I first started with BMF which I've had success with in the past. But my foil was really old and would not stick and my knife would not cut an even line. I managed to get some on and then went over it

with a chrome pen. It actually looked passable to me. I gave it a light coat of Future and said goodnight.

The windshield and wing windows is one piece. It did not fit snug in the frame at all. So, of course, while trying to hold it firmly in place I managed to get glue all over the part. Also major blemishes on the frame. BooHoo.

The windscreen lives... ish.

It looks great considering all the bad luck you have been running into during this build.

I managed to fog up my headlights.  I got carried away with the liquid chrome. It was looking good on the back piece. I dropped on the lense not to smush it down. Still good. Then a bonehead move. I tapped a little CA on the edges and it immediately seeped into the seam.

And insult to injury, I dropped them in the frame off kilter and could not get them to spin. It will always bug me.

I'm not all the happy with the grille. I tried several combinations of panel liner and thinned paint but could not achieve an even tint. It just looks dirty.
