Over the last couple years I have been gathering the parts to build a Monogram 34 Ford as the 4 cylinder version that was never made in kit form,I picked up around three partial kits and now can build it.  Before I got a computer I never thought I could find kits or parts unless I got lucky and found someone throwing out that stuff,I love being able to build 60s and 70s versions but have been able to do it without paying the high prices.  I never would have thought this old stuff was still out there.

Done it again and have a 1960s unbuilt 36 Ford coupe/convertible kit coming,I think it's like the last one I picked up.as it looks to be missing all the custom parts.  The last one was built as a convertible so this one will be a coupe,I love building these early Monogram kits.   I got it cheaper then some want for assembled kits.

For whatever reason, I'd rather build from someone's old gluebomb or some half-missing kit that's been collecting dust and spiders for 30 years than crack open a brandy-new kit.

Kinda like building real hot-rods from good junkyard parts, the way it used to be long before anyone thought of the phrase "built, not bought".

'Course that's kinda going the way of the dodo too, as more and more wrecking yards are bulldozed for ticky-tacky housing developments and strip malls, while the old cars and parts are crushed and chopped so the Chinese will have a steady stream of decent scrap.

Every part is never used parts from two or three partial kits I picked up, everything except for the engine is from the 60s and the engine is from the mid ,70s and it was also unused.
