Well I’ve been watching these face book auctions for a while and every now and then I bid and win some old plastic. Well two weeks ago I bid on a fairly decent rivvy. It’s rough needs some love and a lot of parts but the base kit of body, interior and chassis is there. Now this will not be a restoration but a mild custom combining some styles from the 63 and 65.
I have wanted to do this for a very long time and I may attempt a slight homage to the Silver arrow concept car.
But first it will need some body work to cover the sins of the original builder, glue marks decals and a broken A pillar. I’ll need to find a donor for some of the items I want for my vision of this car.

so far I’ve added some parts box hubcaps and white walls to try to capture the vision in my head to plastic on my bench.
I’ll update this hopefully soon as I am off work til the middle of January now so I’ll have a fair bit of bench time.

Spent some time addressing the decals and the horrible glue spots. I have to shoot a coat of primer to see the rest of the damage. Need to pick up a can from the lhs tomorrow.

Looks like it's going to be a very worthwhile resurrection.

Well the basic bones are there and it’s in rather remarkable shape for 60 years old. I’m very optimistic on the outcome.
