TheBandit Posted December 16, 2023 Posted December 16, 2023 After sitting sideline watching model car videos, felt it was time to get back into the hobby with all new knowledge. 1983 AJ Foyt Monte Carlo used as a base with rims, exhaust, and grill insert bought from Salvinos'. Window net was made from masking tape per a video from Clay Kemp. Decals were from an independent seller. Front wheel wells were extended using a sheet of styrene and some putty, quite happy with how they turned out. I regret not putting down a base white coat on the rims before using Molotow chrome pen, but it will have to suffice. Body was shot with 2 coats of primer, 3 coats of white, and currently drying is 1 of 2 clear coats before decals are applied. All sprays are rattle can and the white is Dupli-Color GM bright white. If you have any questions on methods, paints, or assembly I'm more than willing to share. Thanks for looking! 1
Ace-Garageguy Posted December 17, 2023 Posted December 17, 2023 Looking good. I like to see test cars not entirely plastered with sponsorship graphics. What silver did you use on the chassis?
