Firebuilder Posted January 5, 2024 Posted January 5, 2024 (edited) This was completed this past summer. The paint was done with rust oleum spray paint. Not thrilled with the paint finish though. I usually used model masters paint and an air brush, but finding it since they ceased production has been difficult. Edited January 5, 2024 by Firebuilder Wrong paint name 3
cifenet Posted January 7, 2024 Posted January 7, 2024 Great looking fire engine! I don't think I have seen a blue kind before, but this is definitely unique. I can see extensive effort has been done on this to complete. Nice job and good work!
Scott Eriksen Posted January 7, 2024 Posted January 7, 2024 MCW is my go to paint for lacquer and enamels for airbrushing ,,, as far as rattle cans you can't beat Tamiya ,,leave the Rustoleum for the lawn furniture ?
Scott Eriksen Posted January 7, 2024 Posted January 7, 2024 You could experiment and de-can the Rustoleum and try airbrushing it ,,but I think the pigments in the Rustoleum are too heavy

Thanks for the input, in all of my internet searches for model paint I never found MCW, I checked out their site and will be placing an order, my current build will be sprayed with their paint and my airbrush, no rattle cans again hopefully! 1
