1991MN12 Posted January 11, 2024 Posted January 11, 2024 This kit was great. Went together great. The Tamiya TS-51 Racing Blue went down great by my standards. I wanted to get a resin Hemi or 5.9 Magnum but the Viper engine worked out nice and I think suits the 90s vibe of the truck. I chose to leave the decals as they were old and I like the truck in blue. I am pleased with this build. The only thing that went downhill was the front bumper seemed to be wider than the body. Unfortunately it pokes out on the passenger side but all said and done, great kit and I would highly recommend. I don't want to call this a concept, more of a pre production research and development to the SRT10 3
gotnitro? Posted January 11, 2024 Posted January 11, 2024 Nice work on your Ram ! Glad you chose to keep the Viper engine under the hood 1
ncbuckeye67 Posted January 11, 2024 Posted January 11, 2024 Very nice! I used to work at a powder-coating facility, that was bidding on the painting & machining of those intake manifolds. We already had a contract with Ford for the 3.8 V6. 1

Thanks for the kind words Jeff!! Now that sounds like a job i'd be pumped to get up early for, well at least I think I would... 1

We painted them black, then the parts came to my machine (it was basically a giant belt sander). After they were buffed, we then clear coated them. It was a dirty, smelly, nasty place (but I did like the work). 1
