racer13 Posted March 16, 2009 Posted March 16, 2009 Racer13 Speed Shop is building a Rail Job for the 1962 Racing Season Opener.
gonzo64nova Posted March 16, 2009 Posted March 16, 2009 Nice job on that old digger. The body you've created really makes it look retro. All the early diiggers had body work that wrapped around the back of the car like yours. Is that the Hemisphere chassis?
racer13 Posted March 17, 2009 Author Posted March 17, 2009 Thanks! it's based from the Hemi Hippie kit.
RJWood Posted March 17, 2009 Posted March 17, 2009 Now thats gonna look great on the trailer behind that El Camino. cant wait to see it in tow.
noname Posted March 17, 2009 Posted March 17, 2009 Now thats gonna look great on the trailer behind that El Camino. cant wait to see it in tow. I agree!
MADmodelDOCTOR Posted March 22, 2009 Posted March 22, 2009 Looking good! The wood on the trailer is pretty cool.....old-school. Keep it going. later,
racer13 Posted March 28, 2009 Author Posted March 28, 2009 I'va got a little further on the rail. Still need to figure out what type of tail light to do.
tuffone20 Posted March 28, 2009 Posted March 28, 2009 Wow that's looking pretty sweet!! And the tailer looks way cool!! can you show how you built it?
racer13 Posted March 28, 2009 Author Posted March 28, 2009 All of the frame work was made with evergreen plastic number 177 I used balsa I found at the LHS the rear fenders from a Lindberg 34 ford pickup, leaf springs from the 50 ford pickup. the crank and tongue are scratched with more evergreen odds n ends.
Gary Davis Posted March 29, 2009 Posted March 29, 2009 Man 13....you did an exellent job with this whole build... I'm a turn left guy for the most part but...this team really looks good.
