nts Posted March 18, 2009 Posted March 18, 2009 During a visit i my hometown ,i found two boxes of -53 ford. Both boxes where messed up ,droped in transportation the salesman told me. But the right price made me buy it anyway. One of the bodys where broken, but the rest of the kits was good.So i mixed them together for a limo to the president. I don't know if there was a limo from this year, but there could have been, so this is the result . Torgny/ Sweden
RodBurNeR Posted March 18, 2009 Posted March 18, 2009 wow! excellent build! I have not seen many stretch/jobs that look that clean!

Guest Gramps-xrds Posted March 18, 2009 Posted March 18, 2009 You did one heck of a job stretchin that. It looks like it was made that way. I really doubt they had a common old ford though, if anything it would have been a Lincoln or some other high end car. Still it's a great job. Congrats
fordh8r Posted March 18, 2009 Posted March 18, 2009 Great job on your (what I call) "what if..." build! Beautifully done! Very cool!
brewsterg6 Posted March 18, 2009 Posted March 18, 2009 (edited) Stunning build... and really hard to pull off a stretch like that with no 'stretch marks'!! As for 1953... We liked Ike... and Ike was a Caddy man! I may be wrong, but I believe one of his limos may be in the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn... http://www.conceptcar.co.uk/blog/wp-conten..._eisenhower.jpg Edited March 18, 2009 by brewsterg6
Lyle Willits Posted March 19, 2009 Posted March 19, 2009 Very nice model and well built. However, Ike wouldn't cruise around in a plain ol' Ford. I found a picture of his Lincoln limo.
george 53 Posted March 19, 2009 Posted March 19, 2009 Didn't the President of Bolivia ride around in something like that? Or was it Ecuador? Either way, she's a right distinguished lookin ride. Definately worthy of haulin a VIP around! GREAT conversion job!
FactoryStock54 Posted March 19, 2009 Posted March 19, 2009 Beautiful job on a fascinating "what-if." Flawless splicing of the bodies and frames; first-rate paint job! I've seen photos of Eisenhower riding in a '53 Eldorado.

Bryce Posted March 31, 2009 Posted March 31, 2009 Nicely done - looks like it came out of the box that way! You could easily add another seat in the back there and make it a wedding car.
Foxer Posted March 31, 2009 Posted March 31, 2009 Looks fantastic! the poor man's limo..... I say Ike probably used a Ford like this when he just wanted to cruise the burger joint....
camaroman Posted March 31, 2009 Posted March 31, 2009 Great job on the save of two kits.... would make a great cash cow at Prom time....

A pair of jump seats would definitely add to the "presidential parade car" feel of this; not that it isn't gorgeous as is.
