Dingo Posted March 20, 2009 Posted March 20, 2009 When I bought this model I didn't see that it was a snap model & pre-pianted but never mind it came up OK. Atennas are a mix of different guage hypodermic needles bought from my local chemist (drug store) Dingo
dwc43 Posted March 20, 2009 Posted March 20, 2009 (edited) Looks pretty good. We don't use that kind of light bar anymore though and we don't run front lic. plates either. Paint the spots lights black too so they blend in woth the roof pillar. Makes them harder to spot at night. Edited March 20, 2009 by dwc43
Dingo Posted March 21, 2009 Author Posted March 21, 2009 Thanks for the advise DWC43 but I'll leave it as it is for now if and when I do another one I'll make the changes, where I live in Australia all vehicle except motorbikes must run front number (license) plates as for the A-pillar light that's a good idea to paint them balck not only would they blend in but also cut back on dazzle glare for the driver. Next time I build a cop car I'll do more to it than just a OOB kit as this one is. Dingo
FujimiLover Posted March 21, 2009 Posted March 21, 2009 Need's a Lamborghini in front of it. Preferably with two chick's in it!

Custom Hearse Posted March 21, 2009 Posted March 21, 2009 That's the '97 version CVPI with chrome spotlights. In '98 they changed the body front and back, and added the molded black plastic spotlights made by Unity. Your model is correct with the chrome spotlight. Here's a picture of my daily driver.... This is the newer spotlight by Unity.

Someone else came up with that. It's just the way we run the real ones here. As long as you don't park one our cars with the doors facing the oncoming traffic you'll never see one of these things in a dark spot right out in the open till it's too late. Here's a pic of the older cars with the older take downs like you have on your kit and a newer car with the LED strobes. You can really see those things in the dark from a long ways off compared to the old lights. Glad to see one of our model cars made it over there. you don't expect that too often. Here's a link to decals and police car parts if you like to build them. I just bought some stuff from them and they are good to deal with. http://www.chimneyvilledecals.com/index.html Edited March 21, 2009 by dwc43
dwc43 Posted March 21, 2009 Posted March 21, 2009 Need's a Lamborghini in front of it. Preferably with two chick's in it! Not in Tn. Maybe a vette or Viper, but no Lambo's in sight I am afraid .... lol.
dwc43 Posted March 21, 2009 Posted March 21, 2009 those Tenn cops are sneaky! Yeah we are. you should see the unmarked cars and the pick up trucks and suv's we have. Sounds like you might have some experience with Tn. cops, am I right ??? lol
