Stanward VonDiederichs Posted February 24, 2024 Posted February 24, 2024 Originally buying this kit I was just going to make it a 50s style custom for street everyday driver. Until I opened it up and I was shocked to see what they did with that body I couldn't believe it they used a convertible roof instead of a hardtop roof. I'm sorry I can't show you the photos of what the car look like with the convertible top if you bought the kit you'd understand but I had a mishap and erased all those early photographs which really bummed me out. I had photographs of where I was reshaping the body using a half round file all the customizing I did the only photograph I managed to save is in the photograph showing Black Sapphire finished I would like to show you some of the deals I added to the build with added photos. 1

The first photo is the wolf whistle I fabricated from part of the parts tree the intake manifold I fabricated it but the carburetors and air cleaner they are aftermarket the next one down is a 45 RPM record player for a car I took an illustration from JC Whitney's catalog from the 50s chassis photos I fabricated the spring for the front suspension and had to fabricate then a shock absorber I also made a drive shaft hoop the headers I fabricated the braiding is the negative cable for the engine I inlaid the front and rear end and side air wing if you are putting a 45 player under the dash you'll also need 45 on the back seat so I made a 45 record case for the back seat all the bright work is aluminum around the windows the scoop and along the bottom of the door and the guard on the rear fender the final pictures are what the car looks like without a hood you can see the detail I put in under the hood. I'm really happy the way the car turned out but when I got finished for a week it didn't look finished and that's where I decided to make a trailer pull everything you see is designed to be in the period of 1958 to 1962. ?????? 1
