Can someone explain P34's rear wing?

I managed to get a set of rain tires and the Japan rear section (including the rear wing) from MFH. Instead of making the 1976 Japan GP version, I am more interested in making the Canadian GP version for car No. 3, Mr. Jody Scheckter. 

I wonder if anyone from that time could kindly talk a bit about his car, particularly the rear section? Did he have the holed seat or just the plain seat? I have so many questions but couldn't find much insightful information. Apart from recreating it in 1/12 scale, I am also very curious about the design of the car. 

I have left the engine partially finished for more than a year...

What about the Tyrrell P34 rear wing do you want to know?

The rear wing went through several iterations, all in an attempt to create downforce with less aerodynamic drag.

Holy BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH Bill! Superb job. I'm also building the Tamiya Tyrrell P-34 in 1:12 scale. I'm building it in three phases. Phase 1 will be the full kit but with body panels removed to show off the detail I'm adding. The second phase will be just the engine and transmission (like yours) showing off its detail. Then I'm going to build a third Tyrrell P-34 but in the "First National City" delivery. I'm 72 and a 24-year AF veteran. I had the golden opportunity to fly the world and collected a lot of the Tamiya 1:12 scale F-1 models. Why I find your model extremely interesting (other than being a fantastic build), is I'm always looking for paint color schemes. I use mostly Alclad II or AK Interactive lacquers. Anyway, thanks again for presenting your Tyrrell P-34. I'm new to this site, so I'll try and post pictures of my project. All the best, Glenn....

Sorry Larry that I sent my last post off to Bill (my bad). Anyway, sorry I don't know if this will help you or not. But there's a magazine out there called "GP Car Story". If you can find issue #26 (it's available on eBay for $65.00, but be warned, it's all in Japanese!), it's all about the Tyrrell P-34 and the different transitions. The Japanese version (RD-16) doesn't show any pictures of the seat in the book except! If you look carefully in the right mirror, you can see the right side of the seat and there ARE holes. Your biggest issue that I see if you really want to be totally accurate, is the air cleaner looks like a green house. Its ends are built like a triangle If you look up on the internet Tyrrell P34 Japanese GP 1976 Scheckter/ Depailler - Kane & Company, you'll see what I mean. There's also a big difference in the construction of the rear wing. Sorry if this has burst your bubble but this magazine really shows a lot of detail about the Tyrrell P-34. Give me a shout if I can help. If you get anytime and don't mind, what paint company are you using for the metallics? Lucky you found a set of rain tires, that's a gold find. All the best, Glenn.....
