TonyK Posted May 7, 2024 Posted May 7, 2024 Many years ago I had a couple of aftermarket interior shells that fit the 63/64 Fords to replicate a Nascar racer. Can't find anything like that anymore. It was much easier using them instead of trying to gut a passenger car interior. Thanks for any help with this.
Mark Posted May 7, 2024 Posted May 7, 2024 They may have been copies of the '64 Galaxie Modified Stocker unit. The stock kit is entirely different and does not have that interior.
bobss396 Posted May 8, 2024 Posted May 8, 2024 All of the modified stocker kits had them. You could also just cut out the kit tubs are use plastic stock. I have done this before. I have also sanded the BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH out of kit interiors to make them flat. One I added some aluminum panels that looked good.
Mark Posted May 8, 2024 Posted May 8, 2024 The Modified Stocker Galaxie bucket still has the doglegs for the convertible boot.
TonyK Posted May 8, 2024 Author Posted May 8, 2024 The '64 Modified Stocker interior tub fits like a glove in the car I'm working on but I was hoping for some aftermarket piece instead of poaching a piece from another kit. Yes, I've sanded an interior before for hours and hours but didn't feel like doing that again. This interior in the '64 Ford model was obviously based on a promo so everything is molded as one piece.
Mark Posted May 8, 2024 Posted May 8, 2024 Modelhaus sold a copy of the Modified Stocker piece. Not sure if theirs was changed from the original in any way.
