Dad's GTO project is moving along. He had the Hurst dual gate shifter in it. Short of trying to scratch build something, is there anyone out there 3D printing these? Or a kit that has one in it?

Thanks in advance.

Kyle, I think you have it already if you have the AMT GTO. Although it comes with a 4 speed tranny, the console is for an automatic. I have that kit and just realized that fact. The 4 speed console has a shifter that's offset to the driver. Also you can clearly see the area where the the shifter goes is set up for an automatic. The chrome is thick there but it looks like a dual gate, or can be modified to be one. I don't think its worth reworking myself.
You also might want to ask your dad if he had wood grain on the console, which would require you to rework the console to remove the ribbing to add it. All the pics I've seen show woodgrain.

Thanks, I hadn't looked that close at it yet. Yes, I am using the AMT 67 interior. He remembers wood grain on the dash, I'll have to ask about the console. I've got a handful of the AMT kits, so maybe one has chrome that is a bit thinner in that area.

He did mention he replaced the shifter ball with a wood grain one that had a GTO logo on it, from the JC Whitney catalog.

As Dennis mentioned you may already have the needed shifter and consol. He also mentioned detailing the part to better bring out its appearance. Tamiya Panel Line Accent or their Smoke brush paint work well for showing the edges of a shape on a heavily chromed kit part.

Yep, confirmed that the kit indeed has the hurst shifter. And the wierd ridged texture. Time to start correcting that hot mess. Pretty much the story of this entire kit.
